Yes, I think I'm cute. Growing up, I would hear, "Oh, she think she's cute," and it always had a negative connotation to go along with it. I would hear things like 'Look at her over there thinking she's cute' or 'I can't stand her, she thinks she's cute' or 'Somebody told him he was fine.' And for the life of me, I could not understand the disdain for people, especially women, who thought highly of themselves. Of course, I was a young girl when I would first hear this phrase, and I dared not to ask an adult what was wrong with thinking you're cute. Happy Valentine's Day to all of the lovers out there today. Whether your single or not today, I'm talking to you. If you don't celebrate Valentine's day for whatever reason, that's okay too, and I hope you have a fantastic day. But here's the thing if you don't celebrate, whether single or not, there's no need to down others for what they choose to do in their lives. Oxford Dictionaries defines self-love as regard for one's well-being and happiness. To me, this means you're secure enough in yourself where you don't have to put others down for the harmless things they choose to do in their lives. Galentine’s Day Brunch: Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun With Friends

My good sister-friend, Tiara, sent a group message a month or so ago invited a couple friends to a Galentine’s Day brunch and day party at The Park in DC. Pre-Brunch Photo Shoot The Brunch was hosted by Fun Time Moms and The Funny Momma. The beautiful, hilarious, mom hosts for the afternoon. My girls and I had such a great time. The food and drinks were amazing, and the games were fun. This was my first year celebrating Galentine’s Day, but it’s a tradition I look forward to keeping up for years to come with even more of my sister friends.
